Iowa Healthiest State Initiative is a local non-profit organization that is committed to making Iowa the healthiest state in the nation! And they needed a website refresh for their old site that was 6+ years old. The new website needed to be clean, modern, user-friendly, and present their large amount of information in an easily accessible way. They also needed email marketing integrated into their site through newsletter signups and different forms for users.

We began this project by gathering information, digging through the content of the old website, and determining which content was relevant and how to best organize all of the information moving forward. We created a sitemap to determine the best flow of the site for the user, and wireframed and mocked up a design of the homepage to make sure we provided this client with the exact style they were looking for.

After the planning stage was complete, we moved on to building out the new website on Squarespace. It took quite a bit of work, but Squarespace is a very easy platform to use and it made the transition very smooth. We set up and integrated Squarespace’s email marketing platform on the site as well and moved over all of the client’s contacts from their old platform.

The new site met the client’s expectations and organizes all of the information that their different initiatives offer seamlessly.
