It might take some trial and error to find the right combination of hashtags, but including a good combination on every post is necessary to get your post out there! Also, make sure you use hashtags that are popular and widely used. When you start typing a hashtag, options will pop up in a menu below your post. There is always a number beside the hashtag in the list that indicates how many posts use that hashtag, and they are sorted by most to least popular.
- Posting at the right times – If you have a business profile for your insta page (which you should!) you will be able to view your Insights. On this page, it lists the times of day your posts get the most engagement, which is extremely helpful in determining the right times to post. If you post when your audience is busy at work or making dinner for the family, your post might not get seen by as many people as you would like.
- Ad campaigns – Advertising is absolutely necessary on Instagram. You can try to grow your followers and reach organically, but with the way Instagram’s algorithm is constantly changing, it’s hard to really hit a large following without spending any money at all. Make sure to choose an effective campaign that either provides a good offer or solves a problem your customers typically have.
